Tuition for non-EU students: Varies — TH Nürnberg charges new non-EU students €1,000 per semester from winter 2026/27, with some programmes exempt. FAU, which teaches partly in Nuremberg, charges new non-EU students from summer 2027. Check the fee page of your exact programme.

Nuremberg is Bavaria's second-largest city, a mix of medieval old town, industrial history and a growing tech scene. Students study at the Technische Hochschule Nürnberg Georg Simon Ohm, the new University of Technology Nuremberg (UTN), art and music colleges, and at FAU's Nuremberg faculties (FAU is listed under Erlangen in our catalogue). Rents are far lower than in Munich, and Erlangen and Fürth are minutes away.
